Description

Cell Applications' newly released primary adherent Human Neural Stem Cells (HNSC-2D) offer a robust, adherent 2-dimensional culture system ideal for research in neurodevelopment, neurotoxicity, and cell therapy modeling. Available in both cryovials and actively proliferating formats (flasks or multiwell plates), these HNSC are derived from brain samples and multipotent.

HNSC-2D are cultured using Cell Applications' novel, proprietary Neural Longevity Matrix (NLM, Cat# 1041K-2), which supports sustained proliferation as an adherent culture across multiple population doublings without loss of stemness.

To differentiate HNSC-2D, the cells are seeded using NSC Differentiation Coating Solutions A & B (Cat# 034-10 & 035-10), and can be efficiently differentiated into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes using lineage-specific differentiation media (Cat# 813D-100 Neuron Differentiation Media, Cat# 813D-100A Astrocyte DM, and Cat# 813D-100O Oligodendrocyte DM). Differentiation is confirmed by immunostaining for key markers: β-tubulin III (neurons), GFAP (astrocytes), and O4 (oligodendrocytes). This system provides a physiologically relevant, scalable platform for CNS modeling and translational neuroscience research.
