In vivo, HHSC reside within specialized bone marrow niches and exist at lower frequencies in umbilical cord blood and mobilized peripheral blood. Hematopoiesis is driven by the unique self-renewal and multipotent differentiation capacity of HHSC, enabling continuous generation of mature blood cell lineages, including myeloid cells, erythroid lineages, and megakaryocytes.

In research and translational applications, Human Hematopoietic Stem Cell Media provide a controlled, standardized culture environment tailored for either HHSC maintenance or lineage-directed differentiation.
