Bovine Renal Artery Endothelial Cells, BRAEC

Bovine Renal Artery Endothelial Cell (BRAEC) are derived from renal artery of USDA inspected cattle. They are cryopreserved at the second passage and can be propagated at least 10 doublings. Endothelial cell dysfunction is the primary cause of no reflow phenomenon in postischemic kidneys1. Low endothelial nitric oxide synthasae activity may contribute in hypertension2,3 in renal failure patients. BRAEC have been used as a cellular model for studying the pathogenesis of septic shock4.

Cryopreserved ampoule:
2nd passage, >500,000 cells in Bovine Endothelial Cell Basal Medium containing 10% FBS & 10% DMSO.

Ampoule of cryopreserved BRAEC (B900-05), 500 ml Bovine Endothelial Cell Growth Medium (B211-500), and a Subculture Reagent Kit (090K).
Proliferating Cells:
 
Shipped in Bovine Endothelial Cell Growth Medium at 3rd passage in either flasks or multiwell dishes.
Population doublings:
Can be cultured at least 10 doublings
