Feline
Skeletal Muscle Cells (FSkMC) are isolated from the
limbal skeletal muscle. They are cryopreserved
at second passage and can be cultured and propagated
for at least 15 population doublings. Muscle
diseases can occur in cats with clinical
presentations resembling human disorders, and thus
the feline system can be a valuable intermediate
disease model1,2,3. ATP
concentration and hypoxia have been studied
in feline skeletal muscle4,5.
